Pet Supplies Plus Chili

The absolute worst groom I’ve seen. I asked for a puppy cut & to make it even. I didn’t say shave my dog! I warned the groomer he has some scars from his cancer surgeries & I apologized for his weird hair patterns. I said I understand he has a shaved belly from his most recent vet visit & said don’t worry about blending that area, I understand that it looks hacked & uneven. I specifically asked her to trim his paws & that’s the only part she didn’t shave. When I picked him I expressed my dissatisfaction & the girl said next time bring a photo for reference. He’s a golden retriever with a double coat; now he looks like a bad version of a golden doodle! I will NEVER be going back there!

The store in Chili is amazing. The staff is always on point. They actually care about what you need and try to help you in any way. I wish other stores had this sort of customer service. Keep crushing it.

The grooming staff are always so wonderful and kind my favorite pet supplies. The staff on the floor are lovely. And they always have the supplies that I need for my fur friends and lizard 🦎

Last evening I noticed that an email was sent to me erroneously, by Pet Supplies Plus. I immediately called the store, and spoke with Ally, who was fantastic ! She assured me that I would receive a call the next day, and that it would be straightened out. Ally added that it was more than likely an error in placing a phone number in the system- which it was ! True to her word, Ally called me back the next day, and it was completely resolved. Ally was very professional, respectful, and responsible in seeing this through. Great work, Ally !!!

Rose in the grooming salon did such a good job doing my Mom & I’s dogs nails today. She was very sweet and gentle with both the boys. The grooming salon itself is very clean and Rose and the young man working back there today were very friendly!

I have my Great Pryneys bathed and trimmed, always an excellent job! My dog comes out all happy and just wagging his tail!

This post applies to the Chili Avenue Pet Supplies Plus. I have a number of pets, including border collies and cats. Every time I am in the store, I find the staff very helpful. One person that I’d like to review is Ben. He is ALWAYS cheerful, greets me with a smile, and helps load the heavy kitty litter into my car. I can tell he likes what he is doing. I never have to ask for help. He can foresee ahead the fact I’m going to need help. That is a good employee! Proactive, approachable, and positive attitude. I hired for a large company for many years. Pets Plus… Ben is a role model for your store. You have a valuable asset…. Great work on your hiring process!

The chili pet supplies plus is amazing. Everyone there is so kind and speaks to customers like they know them personally. I only have good things to say about the groomers. My dog has bad hips and they are always so gentle with her. Allison at check out is super sweet, everytime I stop in she always gives me a compliment and is so genuine. You never know what someone could be going through in life and it just goes to show that kindness like hers can really makes someone’s day.Also pro tip for anyone out there, they take cat food donations! My calico is picky with her food, so when we had some canned food that she didn’t like, they happily took it off our hands!

LOVE this location... Always the most friendly employees and the manager (dont know her name unfortunately) is always so helpful and friendly.Only place Ill go for my pets.

I highly recommend going to Pet Supplies Plus Chili. All age workers are so helpful and respectful. They make you feel as a valued customer. You can call and ask questions, which is very helpful. I guarantee you will be happy when you start purchasing from them.

Favorite local franchised pet store. Staff are always super helpful and friendly. They have low-cost vet services on Saturdays, they have pet grooming services, and DIY was tubs with all the supplies you need to wash your four legged family members (be sure to buy the discounted pet wash card if you plan to use the tubs on a regular basis)

This store is run so well. They are so polite and knowledgeable. The store is clean and well stocked. Definitely the best pet store in the area!

First time having a dog groomed and I had such a very pleasant experience. The groomer Steven was phenomenally nice did wonderful with my dog and my baby looks so good and he is so happy. Do believe Im going to have Steven as my permanent groomer. Everyone in that department though was exceptionally nice as well as the store very good experience

The store itself is fine, the employees are better now than six months ago thats for sure. Never gave you my email yet i receive email receipts??? You could do better with grooming supplies, very expensive even your employees suggest buying on amazon

LOVE the sales associate at this store, love this location and great staff, however, their grooming salon is extremely unprofessional. I’m fully understanding of what you can and cannot do at a grooming salon. However, it is extremely unprofessional that when I make the grooming salon aware of what medication my dog is on before the appointment. Then they do not tell me he can’t be on his anxiety medicine. I drove all the way here for them to tell me they can’t see him. store policy or not you should make your customers aware before you show up. Or have better communication between your staff. I informed a gentlemen when I booked the appointment. Well you think that would be in a text, or they would tell me after seeing his vet records and me verbally telling them what medicine he’s on.Nope we can’t see you. And it’s not like they even tried to rectify it by saying “oh since we can’t see him today we can give you 10% off the next time you come in.” I will never book a grooming appointment with this salon again. Very very poor communication to their clientele. PetSmart it is. I will drive the extra 18 minutes for the service. Very disappointed with the communication here…

The groomers are amazing!! Took the time to talk to me about my dogs history and behavior. Very knowledgeable about her fur and shedding issues and offered great advice and product recommendations. Even took time to adjust for her disability (she is an amputee). These folks LOVE animals and their care shows it!

Rose and Angel have both been great groomers for our dog! They did a great job communicating and taking into account what we wanted done, what was necessary in some cases (matting etc.), and how long it might take for them to have him ready. They are always respectful of our time if its a busy day for them and they get behind schedule, which is very much appreciated.

Good experience. Quick service. Love the Vet she is very sweet and makes the experience for your pet as pain free as possible. My Dog was done with her shots and didnt realize it. Ill be back in a year.

I have shopped here before but have never had such helpful assistance as when I approached Katelyn R looking for help finding a slightly bigger collar for my new kitty. Pet supplies plus in chili center is the best store. I actually enjoy going there more then anywhere else. The friendliest staff, the smiles, the help, they are a really great store and hire a great staff.

I visited the store for the vet clinic day with my puppy a couple weeks ago. It was my first time in the store and I wasnt sure what to expect. But I found the sales associates to be extremely helpful and friendly. We had a bit of a long wait in line and when the inevitable happened and my puppy had an accident in the middle of an aisle, the associates jumped in to help out. I was so embarrassed but they didnt make me feel even a little bit bad. I cant tell you how much I appreciated them.

My dog is 15 and needed a haircut,bath and a nail trim (the nail issue had cause him to sometimes slip and stumble, but he always gets back up). Also, he was terrified as he was in a new place. The groomer called and said he noticed my dog had some trouble standing, I explained to him that all dogs do that as a defense mechanism. He claimed he went to his manager who decided to end the appointment without clipping his nails, I asked him to do so and he refused. DO NOT RECOMMEND, STAY AWAY.

Ashley provided me with excellent service. I was purchasing a gift and she helped me in locating these products and provided me with suggestions for other items, which turned out to be perfect items as well. I stopped by Saturday July 17th in the evening and the young lady and gentlemen working at the register were absolutely phenomenal! They answered all of my questions and new right where the products I was looking for were located. The young man made recommendations as well. I would highly recommend pet supplies Plus to everybody. Outstanding customer service and extraordinarily knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable as well.

The employee who helped me was awesome. She found just what I needed. Other employees asked if I needed help but when I said I wanted to browse they were fine with that. Definitely will go back!! Clean and organized too.

I love how they have Santa in the back away from everyone for the pet pictures, I been doing this for few years now and my dog with Santa picture is on email, the store has a lot of selections of different varieties for all kind of pets

Just picked up Teddy. He looks great after being groomed and bathed. The staff I talked to yesterday and today were very professional. The staff does a good job of screening for your dogs safety and health

Probably the best pet store we have have around here. The prices are great. They have everything I need for my dog and chinchilla. They have a set up where you can wash your own dog for cheap and avoid the mess at home. You can order online and they will have everything waiting for you. Its really a great location!

I really like this place. They offer many discounts. They have a great variety of pet foods. You can give your dog a bath there. They offer grooming services. You can order online for curbside pickup or delivery.

I went in last week looking for a new dog food for my new puppy. first time, have no experience raising animals. I asked the young gentleman Rory for help and told him about my predicament. He was able to help me find the perfect dog food and cute toys. Cupcake loves her new chow and squeaky toys! After checking out he even helped carry everything to my car for me, and was very helpful. Will be coming back for more supplies for baby Cupcake.

I started going here when they opened up, but since Ive transitioned to buying crickets here (Country Max is a good 20 minutes from home as opposed to the 5 it took to get here) Ive had a vast amount of problems, a few of the big ones being these crickets die abnormally fast, with all the necessary food and hydration after buying 100 I have about 20 left in two days. 3 adult leopard geckos feed on the Larges I buy so even at that rate 40-50 crickets are dying in a few days. Ive found parasites/maggots growing in my cricket carrier as well, which again has never happened beford with the same care routine Ive used for 6 years. If you need supplies, something cheap and quick, Id recommend this store. But as far as feeding your animals live food Id say play it safe and shop somewhere trusted!

Would rate it a zero but it dont allow for it.Store is a joke, we placed an online order that claimed it would be ready in an hour. I got no email telling me order was ready so I called after 90 minutes and was then informed they didnt have product in stock. Why did I have to call to find that out? I changed my schedule around to pick up order and that was all for not. Pathetic customer service when I called for all I got was some punk that didnt want to deal with the situation causing me to really get annoyed with his lack of empathy for a customer that helps pay his salary(at least used to). I found what I needed elsewhere and will never shop at that pathetic place with their pathetic employee ever again

One of the best looking pet stores in the Rochester area. Prices when I stopped in were super competitive with chewy if not better. Lot of options available for food, toys, pet products. Look forward to making out main pet store. Being in walking distance is a huge plus.

Curbside pickup has become so convenient in this now crazy world! I order from the comfort of my home and it is ready soon after. The employees are kind and professional. I couldnt ask for better service!

I cant thank you guys enough for the job you did on Wacko today. I brought in a cat that was almost completely matted down the his skin and they took such good care of him and had him looking fabulous in about an hour ! My bulldog was groomed today for the first time here in Rochester ( we are originally from California) and I’ve been skeptical about bringing my dog to any groomer out here but I took a chance once the quarantine was over to go for it and I chose pet supplies plus because of the friendly faces and all the helpful people that work there and they definitely welcome my dog and love on her like crazy she loves attention might I add but then again what Bulldogs doesn’t LOL anywho McKenzie groomed my Lolabear and let me tell you she was very patient and very loving to my dog and Lolabear approved of her which was good because my dog doesn’t really trust anybody needless to say McKenzie is officially Lolabear‘s groomer! McKenzie is really good and you can tell that she has a love for her job and dogs she’s really good check her out she’s awesome 🙌🏽

Standard pet supply store. Large selection of dog and cat foods. I was hoping for a little larger selection of pet toys than they had.

If you have a cute animal be cautious bring them here. The employees swoop down like hawks to pet your dog and ask you a million questions. If you have any sort of social anxiety or otherwise these people are bound to get on your nerves so I repeat dont bring your cute animals with you. My only complaint.

The staff that work here are always friendly and helpful. My dog had her first nail appointment here and they were quick and patient with her.

First time coming to this chain, just needed to pick up some bedding for my rabbit. Employees were helpful and there was a decent selection of products.However, I was really sad when I saw the pets they had for sale! Many of the fish had empty aquarium tanks (no plants or gravel), beta fish had fin rot and looked ill, and enclosures were much smaller than at Petco or Petsmart (which are already small to begin with). Many were in enclosures not suitable for one animal, nevermind several. (For example, the enclosure for the budgies/parakeets was half the size of my standard sized, single-bird cage at home, and it was housing around 10 birds!)I understand that pet stores have limited space to work with, and are of course rarely able to provide as much as a breeder. That being said, there are ways to ensure animals are at the very least comfortable and happy while in this environment. Im not an expert in every pet, but know a decent amount about birds, rodents and fish to know when they are showing signs of stress and decline. These animals dont look happy.If youre looking to buy a pet from a store, Id advise you to look at Petco or Petsmart instead. Pets showing this kind of stress over long periods of time will soon be ill and in need of vet care. Additionally, I hope the store takes measures to beef up their critter care facilities, and at least works to meet the standards set by other pet stores in the area.

I called this place to ask whether or not they groom cats and they did not even have the decency to call me back. I think if you are going to do business, you should at least return a persons call. I have since learned that they do not do cats.

We use the grooming services at this location, and its the only place we can take our goldendoodle. GREAT service and our pup loves his groomers, very experianced, and calways aware of his needs.

I have them order a 10lb bag of food almost a week ago today and they tell me its not there after I drove all the way into the store. This is all after I spoke with a manager on the phone who told me it was there. I will no longer go to this store I will go to pet savers. Then they ask me if I want to wait another 3 to 5 days to do the order again like why to find out that it didnt come in again place is joke and employees are lazy.

Very unhappy with their grooming services this will be the second time they canceled on me just hours before my appointment and then they have the audacity to try to push me out instead of working with me and say we will get you in tomorrow between appointments very unprofessional not happy at all will not return.

Great place. Wonder what is going on with the cat food. All favorites are disappearing, hope what ever is going on gets resolved, with a very picky eater, the choices are not available.

Just went in there. There is a ball python in the back that is dehydrated and had NO water in its dish. We told an associate and the response was yeah... not very confident that they were going to do anything about it. I think hed been that way for a while as he had stuck shed and had wrinkled skin.

We came in tonight to purchase a tick remover tool because we lost ours and our dog had two ticks behind her ears. Even though she is treated because of where we live and that she plays in the woods she gets them still sometimes. The girl told us they do not carry the tick tornado anymore and showed us a spray that they had. She asked me if my dog has a tick right now and I told her yes two on her head. Immediately she offered to remove the ticks for us! She was beyond gentle with my girl even though she was nervous being in a new store, having a stranger handling her. I do not know her name she had dark hair and tattoos on her wrist/hand but thank you so much! We would have had to drive 40 more minutes to go to petco to get the tool. You were amazing!!! ❤️

I only go here for the cat food, but they have a large selection available of both dry and wet food. They do service other animals as well, but since I only have a cat I havent bothered to look into any of that. There is an in house discount program card too which saves me about 10 - 15% on average for my purchases. The building always seems clean; they allow pets inside, and I never notice and unpleasant smells.
